Summer School

Welcome to the Summer School program at Monsignor Pace High School, where we offer a variety of courses to enhance academic growth and provide opportunities for credit recovery. Whether students wish to enrich their learning experience, transition smoothly to high school, or remediate grades, our summer school program is designed to meet their needs.

List of 3 items.

  • Credit Recovery

For students who need to remediate grades, our Credit Recovery program is available during Summer School. If a student earns a D in a course, they may choose to remediate that class. If a student earns an F in a course during the school year, it must be made up during Summer School at Monsignor Pace High School. Remedial Summer School runs for 4 weeks. The numerical D or F grade will count for 30% of the final grade, while the numerical Summer School grade will count for 70%. The new average Summer School grade will appear on official student transcripts. Please note that all remediation must be done at Pace unless the required course is not offered. Students may remediate up to 2 credits each summer. Register now to secure your spot.
  • Enrichment Summer School

During the summer break, students have the opportunity to take up to 1 credit of enrichment courses. These courses are offered over a 4-week period and require mandatory attendance. Students are allowed a maximum of 2 absences. Enrichment courses available include Writing, Computer Technology, Hope, Morality, Spirituality in the Sacraments, World Religions, Catholic Social Teacher, Government, and Economics. Each 0.5 credit course is priced at $400. Don't miss out on this opportunity and register now to secure your spot.
  • Freshman Experience

Our Freshman Experience program is designed to help students transition from middle school to high school, with a focus on the credit requirements of Monsignor Pace High School. The program covers essential skills such as mathematics, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, syntax, and study skills. Students will have dedicated teachers for English and Writing, as well as Mathematics and Student Skills. Throughout the 4-week program, students will be assessed regularly, with a final evaluation provided at the end. Upon satisfactory completion, parents will receive a letter of confirmation. It is important to note that failure to comply with program requirements or attend classes regularly may impact a student's enrollment in the Freshmen Class in August. The course fee for the Freshman Experience program is $400.
We believe that summer is an excellent opportunity for students to continue their educational journey and make academic progress. Whether you choose enrichment courses, the Freshman Experience program, or credit recovery, Summer School programs at Pace provide a supportive and engaging learning environment.
