Spiritual Retreats

Our innovative spiritual Retreats provide transformative experiences for our students to deepen their faith, build community, and encounter Christ in meaningful ways. Retreats are an integral part of our spiritual formation program, offering students opportunities for reflection, personal growth, and a closer relationship with Jesus.

List of 6 items.

  • Koinonia

This mandatory retreat is specifically designed for “9th grade students” and takes place at the Dante Navarro Religious Education Center. It provides students with a valuable opportunity to establish a personal relationship with Jesus and integrate Him into their high school journey at Pace. Koinonia is scheduled through the freshmen Theology classes, allowing students to explore and embrace their faith in a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Antioch

Named after the city where the disciples were first called Christians, the Antioch retreat focuses on the importance of community and the building and maintaining of Christian relationships. This retreat is specifically designed for sophomores and helps them understand the significance of supportive relationships that will serve as a foundation throughout their high school years and beyond.
  • Encounter

The junior Encounter retreat poses a fundamental question to students: Are you encountering Christ in your life? This retreat encourages students to examine the factors that may be hindering a more authentic encounter with the risen Christ. It challenges juniors to make mature decisions and actively engage with their faith as they approach the conclusion of their high school careers.
  • Diakonia

Derived from the Greek word for service, Diakonia is a retreat specifically designed for seniors. It offers them a unique opportunity to put their Christian faith into action through various service projects. By serving others, seniors gain new perspectives on their own lives and witness firsthand the transformative power of living out the teachings of Christ.
  • Marist Youth Encounter Christ

This retreat, similar to the Miami Encounter, takes place at Esopus, the Marist Brother's Retreat House in upstate New York. It offers students from various Marist schools across the country a unique opportunity to deepen their faith and explore their calling in the Marist tradition. This retreat creates a special and memorable experience for participants.
  • Spirit Days

As part of our commitment to the broader community, we offer one-day retreats to 7th and 8th grade classes from local middle schools. Led by student peer ministers, these Spirit Days address various topics such as confirmation, graduation, peer pressure, and relationships. They provide younger students with valuable insights and support as they navigate their own faith journeys.
